Guy in a Cube is a lot of people’s first choice in Power BI YouTube content. Not only do they post about Power BI news, tricks, and community activity, their videos are extremely professional and high quality. The owners, Adam and Patrick, both work on the Power BI team and are incredibly knowledgeable of the product, inside and out. Make sure to check out their channel if you’re looking to stay up-to-date with Power BI features and functionality.

Yep that’s us! I’ve been posting Power BI YouTube videos since 2017 and people seem to enjoy the content. The BI Elite YouTube channel is focused on interesting tricks and hacks that the average developer likely is not aware of. Our channel teaches you how to think outside-the-box with Power BI and become a true Power BI Jedi. We have plenty of videos on Power BI basics and intermediate-level functionality, but the Crazy Power BI Tricks are how we made our name!

These guys pretty much wrote the book on DAX! SQLBI should be your first stop for learning DAX within Power BI and SSAS. While their blog is one of the most popular you can find on the web, they’ve recently (2020) started uploading regularly to YouTube and have quickly become one of the top channels. They cover both DAX basics and advanced DAX patterns, so make sure to subscribe if you are looking to liven up your Power BI reports with more dynamic measure calculations.

Mike and Seth over at PowerBI.tips run a very different channel. They mainly focus on live streaming and producing podcasts on all things Power BI (new features, 3rd-party tools, advanced techniques, etc). If you want to surround yourself with all things Power BI, their channel has tons of content that you’ll love. Consider joining their streams which they run multiple times a week!

For the final spot, I want to share an up-and-coming YouTube channel that I find myself watching more and more recently. Ben, better known as Power BI Guy, has only been posting since late 2020, but the content is fabulous and I can’t wait to see more. Like my own channel, Ben goes deeper than a lot of the surface-level tutorials and teaches you how to get the most out of Power BI. Production value and techniques are top-notch, so give Power BI Guy a follow!
