In this Power BI tutorial, you’ll learn how to filter based on a measure value! In this example, we have a measure that evaluates out to a few different options, which we can then slice by. This is not easy to do in Power BI out of the box, so you must use some clever visual-level filters to slice your visuals, but the end result is fantastic! See below for the PBIX download.

Parker,
Nice article, I do have question and I wonder if you can do a video about that (Adventure Works DW database)
Power BI Matrix as a table (no tabular editor just DAX)
two measures Total Sales, Total Cost
Add table Measure by two columns Total Sales and Total Cost and one Index Column for sorting
Add measure to it wit the switch to perform dynamic selection
Until now is based on your example
Now add another table Filter By with two rows Product Name, Country with index column for sorting
Put in the matrix rows the Filter By
Put in Column CY Year from Date table
Put in Value your dynamic measures from this example
So it will be matrix that the rows will change dynamically by Product or Country
And The Values by Total Cost or Total Sales
And Dynamic title that show current combination
I’ve try to do on the filter by table
summarize Total Sales and Total Group by Product and Year
Union all
summarize Total Sales and Total Group by Country and Year
And treatas function but I Couldn’t and I wonder if you can help with that
(The filter by is working and I added button for separate page and it works but I wanted two slicer on one page)
Thanks,
Oded Dror
